Uterine probing can be performed before embryo transfer to determine the depth of the uterus and the ease of <\/span><span class=\"s1\">embryo transfer catheter can be passed through the cervix. It is performed before inserting an intrauterine device (IUD) to measure the length and direction of the cervical canal and uterus. This reduces the risk of perforation of the uterus by the IUD.
